Meet the Doctor

Dr. Yao Chen is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to creating confident, healthy smiles in the Crosby community. With a passion for precision and patient-centered care, she brings years of expertise in orthodontics to every treatment plan.

After earning her dental degree in 2013, Dr. Chen completed her orthodontic residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).She also holds a PhD in Oral Biology, further deepening her understanding of the science behind dental and facial development. As a committee member of the Southern Society of Orthodontics (SSO), she actively contributes to advancing orthodontic care in Texas and the Southern region. She is also a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).

Dr. Chen specialized in traditional braces, Invisalign, clear aligners, mini-implants (TADs), and orthodontic-orthognathic surgery treatments, treating crooked teeth, crowding, gaps, impaction teeth, underbite, overbite and more. She tailors every approach to suit her patients’ unique needs, believing that great orthodontic care is about more than just straightening teeth; it’s about building trust, listening closely, and ensuring a clear and collaborative process so patients can feel confident in their journey toward a beautiful, healthy smile.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Chen enjoys playing tennis, listening to music, and giving back to the community. Whether she’s perfecting a smile or her swing, her passion for excellence shines through in everything she does.
